I copied some folders into portable ssd, it was shown in ssd and all items was in the folder but as soon as you open other folder all the items disappear from the folder although the folder was still there. When you copied another folder to ssd the last folder items disappear only the empty folder remain. I tried formatting to NTFS as it was in exfat format, the old folders was there all items was inside. I notice that the .exe items was not look like as the original in my default folder it appears like a light square icon. If you click on it it won't open an error popup 'the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable'. In the computer management . disk 2 healthy (basic data partion) 62499.98 GB exFAT when you click on SSD (F) properties it show used space 86.0 GB free space 60.9 TB capacity 61.0 TB. In 'this PC' it always show 60.9 TB no matter when you delete some folders or files and you want to copy or drag the folder to desktop nothing will appear in the desktop. Will be much appreciate if someone can help.
Thanks.

How are you copying - what/which copy process are you using? Describe the steps.
EDIT Also, where did you get the drive from?

Yes, I'm wondering where you got the drive and what brand it is. I agree with Berton. I don't think a 64 tb ssd exists. The largest one on the market is Solidigm 61.44 tb selling for $7000.00-$8000.00. There are tons of scams out there when it comes to ssds.

Companies create a fake 64TB SSD by putting cheap flash memory in a metal case. They write the fake 64TB size to the firmware in the controller. The true size might be only 128GB. The problem is with Windows. After it writes 128GB it will not know any better and keep going and probably just overwrite what is already there. Also the flash memory is probably very cheap and be very slow.
External SSDs cost about 50-100 USD per TB so do the math. The best thing to do is not buy them and if you realize you have then throw them in the garbage ASAP.

My suggestion would be to run the "ValiDrive" utility to verify the validity of that SSD.

If it turns out you have been cheated, don’t feel bad and don’t worry too much unless you paid a lot of money. People get cheated with these things all the time. I recall in the past 12 months I have seen at least three other people in a situation like the one you have possibly found yourself in.
The lesson here is that you should always do your research.

Yes, He/she should definitely have done his/her research but the real lesson is "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is".
To the OP, you have not given us any specific information about this drive, nor does it seem you have been back to the thread since you posted it, so we are all speculating here. If indeed you feel you have fallen for this common scam, remove the drive from your system immediately. Throw it away. it's useless. If you purchased the drive from a
seller, return it for refund. If you purchased it from Ali-Express, consider it lesson learned and forget about it. From others experience dealing with them, they won't return your money.

Sorry my friend, that is as fake as you could find. That 64TB works out to about $24 Australian or about $19 American.
A legitimate drive these days, the cheapest you could really get is $1 for every GB. And the larger the capacity, the more $ per GB (this is my experience)
I would suggest you tell your son not to buy from this online store.

Agreed. 100% guarantee it is fake. Run the utility that I linked to earlier and it will verify that this is the case.

I followed the link and found this. There are about 3000 reviews and rated 4.5 out of 5. How many are real is unknown. Some are useless because the buyer hadn't tried it yet. The following review is about right...
2023-12-09 09:57 | Variation: Black,64TB
Performance: USELESS
USELESS! DO NOT BUY! I bought 64TB and this useless junk only maintained the folders and directories. No files whatsoever is found. Once you exit, it's gone completely. After copying, you get a file error if you tried to open the copied file.
How long ago was the 64TB SSD purchased? Is it too late to get a refund?
