My overall experience here so far was one that I'd speak very highly of. The schools campus culture, facilities, teachers, and fellow students all make this school an overall good one to go to.

UofSC is an amazing school with a very history-rich area. The state house and scenery in Columbia makes it a great school with a lot to do in the surrounding area. The campus is beautiful and has a pretty good dining experience with many options. The school has a very active Greek life scene with thousands of students participating. Overall, it is a great school and an amazing area to be in

My experience at University of South Carolina as a transfer student has been exceptional. Compared to my previous University, there are a plethora of dining options in many different locations. Professors are helpful, kind, humorous, and quick to respond; aside from the professors, I have had a great experience so far as quick responses go. The average doctors appointment on campus is within minutes, while outside providers will generally see you within three weeks. As someone who takes my physical and mental health seriously, I have had a lovely experience and felt heard and cared for with outside providers in the community as well as University providers. The students here are incredibly kind and accepting; the community does not seem to be very "cliquey," and it seems as though there is enough of a variety of people for anyone to find a community of people they love.

I love the people and the campus. There are so many resources for whenever you need help and things were easy to adapt to.

I had an interesting experience at UofSC. Coming into my freshman year during COVID, I felt a little disconnected from my peers as I was not able to have the true freshman experience. Once COVID died down a little bit, I was able to join extracurriculars and connect with my peers more through in-person classes. I thought that the classes were challenging, but not too challenging where I was discouraged by my professors. The professors were all extremely passionate about their material and were great. The only thing that was really bad about my experience was the food options. The dining halls did not offer the best food options for healthy eating as there were a lot of fast food places and the ingredients were not terribly fresh. Everything else about the school is great, I would only like to see the food options change for the future.

Financial aid and housing were A STRUGGLE. Student life was a big part of why I go here, the environment is wonderful and I have a large support group here.

If you're looking for a lively college, then this one should definitely be on your radar. The campus food is pretty great and so are the dorms. There are always events that are going on, on campus. Whether that be concerts, club meetings, or even just our sports games. Either way, you're guaranteed to have fun.

USC has been my favorite decision on schooling. I have transferred twice and USC is my third school, but I have found my home. I like the big school atmosphere after having been to two small schools. The opportunities for on-campus/off-campus jobs, student life, the atmosphere around the athletics, and the city life not involving USC is always booming.

Dining hall food was not great; Capstone house was fun but very far from classes and on the outer edge of campus. Greek life makes the difference and our sports teams make it all that much more awesome. As a 2 semester dean's list student I would say the academic rigor is not quite where I think it should be, but I'm still glad to be a Gameco*ck!

The university is a great institution. Financial Aid could be more prepared and helpful, however all other business offices have been of great assistance.

My overall experience with the University of South Carolina is positive. Known for its strong academic programs, especially in business, public health, and engineering, the university offers a robust educational foundation. Its vibrant campus life is enhanced by diverse student organizations and a spirited community that rallies around Gameco*ck sports. The faculty is dedicated and accessible, often going the extra mile to support student success. Columbia’s warm climate and the campus's beautiful historic buildings create an inviting atmosphere. This synergy of academic excellence and enriching student life makes USC a compelling choice for many students.

The professors and academic life were great. I just wish the housing situation here was better. It is really hard to find housing and the options aren’t great.

I would say that choosing to go to the University Of South Carolina was the best thing I have done. It has opened my eyes in a way that ive never thought was possible. I would tell incoming freshman to be apart of the Greek life and join all the clubs you can.

I like that I’m closer to home and I can experience what life will be like on campus. I also like how is diverted to many sports and the felling it is to win it all. I like to see the changes with the fees because I feel like unnecessary fees involving the orientation were kind of pricey but overall it was the best experience that I ever had.

My freshman year at the University of South Carolina was an extremely enjoyable experience. The campus life is very warm and inviting and the events are very welcoming. The food they provided is good and broad allowing for people who follow all kinds of diets to eat and the meal plan accommodates you well for the year.

University of South Carolina is an amazing school. My freshman years has given me so many opportunities and experience that I would not have had somewhere else. While there is some non important issues that should be worked out, I truly don’t see myself at any other school. UofSC is truly a community and I love it!! Spurs up!
